Each year, the County of Hawaii reports its progress in meeting the five-year and annual goals in the <br />Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER). The County of Hawaii has consistently <br />satisfied program mandates and expended funds in a timely manner. Furthermore, the County of <br />Hawaii has successfully targeted funds to benefit low and moderate income persons and communities <br />throughout the island. A copy of the CAPER is available in the County of Hawai'i Office of Housing & <br />Community Development (OHCD) and on the County's website at http://www.hawaiicounty.gov/office- <br />of-housing/. The report states that the County has accomplished the following during the period of July <br />1, 2017 to June 30, 2018: <br />HOUSING AND SPECIAL NEEDS: <br />• Provided 64 households with Tenant Based Rental Assistance; <br />• Completed the of construction of 30 rental units at the Mohouli Heights Senior Neighborhood <br />Phase II project; <br />• Rehabilitated 5 homes for the Residential Repair Program (RRP); <br />• Acquired 2 refrigerated trucks for the Food Basket for food distribution; <br />HOMELESS: <br />• Completed Point in Time Count; <br />PUBLIC FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS: <br />• Completed the acquisition of the Pahala Fire Station - Wildland Fire Brush Truck; <br />• Tree removal and perimeter fencing at the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island; <br />PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY <br />• Acquired 2 vehicles to conduct mobile outreach services to homeless families and individuals; <br />FAIR HOUSING: <br />• Conducted 14 Fair Housing training sessions for property managers/homeless programs and for <br />the general public; <br />• 114 calls/inquiries were received and given assistance and; <br />• 1,000 inquiries on the County's Fair Housing website. <br />4.
