The submittal was neither formally accepted nor returned, as <br /> this office were in continuing discussions with your staff regarding the applicant's <br /> • proposed amendments to the wastewater requirements for the project. During this <br /> discussion and/or review period, it was understood that theapplication's <br /> pplication's this issue. <br /> acceptance/rejection review period was suspended,pending <br /> In sum,the applicant had proposed to modify Condition 0 relating to wastewater <br /> requirement by mandating County sewer connection for land uses only,in areas where a <br /> State Department of Health septic system would not be permitted. Thus, a single-family <br /> residential lot subdivision with a density of less than fifty (50) lots r a small from the sewer hookup requirement commercial <br /> development could conceivably be exempt <br /> However,based upon our meeting of October 19, 2018,you expressed a <br /> preference to have as much of the project connect to the County sewer system and that an <br /> exception could be considered only for the proposed residential area south of Alenaio <br /> Stream, provided that the requirements of the State Department of Health relative to a <br /> private system can be met. <br /> • The applicant understands and accepts the rationale for such a position. <br /> Accordingly, it would like to amend its request by requiring ALL land uses—whether <br /> residential or a small commercial development-north of the Alenaio Stream connect to <br /> the County sewer system. As for the proposed residential area south of the Alenaio <br /> Stream,there would be no mandate for a County sewer line connection,provided that a <br /> private wastewater system, such as a septic system,is approved by the State Department <br /> of Health. <br /> • In that regard,we would appreciate your review and acceptance of the August 1, �_ ___ <br /> 2018 submittal, as modified herein.
