.,./.4'..k(ii-:7 ,14 .. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII :44 �t STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 126 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HALE KIPA, INC., <br /> FOR ITS KA`I LIKE PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, Hale Kipa, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides <br /> opportunities and environments that strengthen and encourage youth,their families and <br /> communities to achieve their potential and social responsibility; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hale Kipa, Inc.,has established the Ka`i Like Program that works with <br /> Family Court to provide opportunities and new beginnings, and to prevent recidivism for youth <br /> in the juvenile justice system; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hale Kipa, Inc., is requesting funding for activities, tutoring, and supplies <br /> to assist the at-risk youth in Hawai`i County; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports initiatives to support <br /> juvenile delinquency prevention and intervention; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Hale Kipa, Inc., to assist with expenses relating to its <br /> Ka`i Like Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: , <br />
