COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />128 19 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HAWAII ARTIST <br />COLLABORATION TO PURCHASE ART SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS FOR <br />KAHAKAI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Artist Collaboration is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br />whose mission is to create opportunities for artists, art organizations, and educators to integrate <br />their collective knowledge, experiences, and resources for the benefit of society and the <br />Hawaiian culture; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Artist Collaboration previously assisted Kahakai Elementary <br />School with providing art supplies to its students and would now like to assist Kahakai <br />Elementary School again; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Artist Collaboration is requesting funds to purchase art <br />supplies and materials such as paint, clay markers, paper, watercolors, glue, and t -shirts for <br />participants for students at Kahakai Elementary School; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br />Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br />identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br />equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Hawaii Artist Collaboration to purchase art supplies and <br />materials for students at Kahakai Elementary School. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
