COUNTY OF HAWAII -•_. �'' _{- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> . 7TEOF.NF'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 161 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF MEMBERS OF THE <br /> NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND THE <br /> WESTERN INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS. <br /> WHEREAS, Hawai`i County is a member of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties <br /> (HSAC), the National Association of Counties (NACo), and the Western Interstate Region <br /> (WIR); and <br /> WHEREAS, the HSAC Executive Committee on April 12, 2019, approved nominees for <br /> the NACo Board of Directors and the WIR Board of Directors for the respective terms beginning <br /> July 1, 2019; and <br /> WHEREAS, HSAC Bylaws state that Council approval is required to approve <br /> nomination of representatives to the NACo Board of Directors and the WIR Board of Directors; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Herbert M. "Tim" Richards and Ikaika Anderson are approved to serve on the NACo Board of <br /> Directors for the term beginning July 1, 2019. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mason K. Chock and Kelly T. King are approved <br /> to serve on the Western Interstate Region Board of Directors for the term beginning July 1, 2019. <br />
