COUNTY OF HAWAII " / STATE OF HAWAII 'FTE OF N1.1- RESOLUTION NO. 173 19 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO TRIANGLE STRATEGIC AND FINANCIAL ADVISING FOR NOT-FOR-PROFITS,INC., TO ASSIST GIRLS TO WOMEN MENTORING HAWAII. WHEREAS, Triangle Strategic and Financial Advising for Not-for-Profits, Inc., (Triangle Advising) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that provides support to not-for-profits providing critical services to communities in need through fiscal sponsorship and startup advising; and WHEREAS, Triangle Advising has been providing fiscal sponsorship to Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i since June 2018; and WHEREAS, Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i supports adolescent girls with developing confidence, character, skills, resilience, and partnerships with one another through school-based, group mentoring; and WHEREAS, Triangle Advising is supporting Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i with building its capacity to serve as many girls as possible and is requesting financial assistance to pay for mentor recruitment,training, handbooks, and supplies; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports drug-fee and alcohol-free programs that enrich the lives of community members; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Triangle Strategic and Financial Advising for Not-for- Profits, Inc.,to assist Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
