REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: May 7, 2019 Re: Comm.No. 262 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:03 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 262,-reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 262, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 18, 2019,nominates <br /> Guillerma Galdones Sumera to the Pension Board. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Ms. Sumera. Ms. Sumera is a retired <br /> County employee who served in numerous roles. She is also an active member in the community, <br /> serving such organizations as the Merrie Monarch Festival and the Big Island Filipino Community <br /> Council. Ms. Sumera was present in Hilo and expressed her willingness to serve on the Pension Board. <br /> Council Members and Chair David commented in favor of her appointment.
