BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The EMS Provider contract between the County of Hawaii and the State of Hawaii, Department of Health <br /> Emergency Medical Services and Injury Prevention System Branch (EMSIPSB) was increased due to <br /> collective bargaining increases and new medic unit start-up in FY 2018-2019. <br /> Being that this is an increase in existing contract, the Department is requesting a waiver from Finance <br /> Committee hearing and the five day hold for reconsideration.
