a <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />►E oiH► <br />RESOLUTION NO. 192 1.9 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE A TRAFFIC DATA COLLECTOR <br />WITH SOLAR CAPABILITIES FOR THE HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT, NORTH <br />AND SOUTH KOHALA STATIONS. <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Police Department continually collects and analyzes traffic <br />data to support grant funding and the Community Policing programs; and <br />WHEREAS, North and South Kohala Police stations do not have immediate access to a <br />Traffic Data Collector with solar capabilities and must wait for one to be made available from <br />other stations; and <br />WHEREAS, the equipment is necessary for the North and South Kohala Police stations <br />to collect valuable traffic and speed data within Council District 9 in order to improve and/or <br />enhance the safety of our island communities; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY. OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Police <br />Department to purchase a Traffic Data Collector with solar capabilities for North and South <br />Kohala. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,500 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,500 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.201.5203.20 Hawaii Police Department $2,500 <br />Police Adm Div -Equip. <br />480 Misc. Equipment <br />(Traffic Data Collector with solar capabilities for <br />North and South Kohala stations) <br />
