COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 200 1.9 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br />DONATION OF $600 TO THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Emergency Physicians Associated, Inc. is donating <br />$600 to the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds will be used in support of EMS Week and the Hawaii <br />Fire Department EMS Team; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br />that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br />securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br />and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br />any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br />capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br />Resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that <br />cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br />Resolution process; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br />Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br />County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
