For fiscal year 2019-2020, the County of Hawaii expects <br /> to collect approximately $23,209,658, an increase of$6,057,755 over fiscal year 2018- <br /> 2019, assuming consumption remains at current stable levels. <br /> UTILIZATION OF THE FUNDS <br /> The Utilization of funds will be mainly focused on: providing resources for the <br /> emergency fund, investing in road repaving material and equipment, flood control, tree <br /> trimming and other road maintenance, the upgrading of traffic signals and striping for <br /> roadway projects, school safety projects, and mass transit. <br /> The table below shows the projected utilization of the increase in Fuel Tax Revenue: <br /> Fuel Tax Increase Revenue Utilization <br /> Emergency Fund $ 600,000 <br /> Road Paving,Mgmt Inspection and Materials $ 1,900,000 <br /> Signal Upgrades $ 413,000 <br /> Striping for Roadway Projects $ 707,000 <br /> Equipment $ 1,300,000 <br /> Other/Benefits $ 1,137,755 <br /> Total: $ 6,057,755 <br /> County of Hawai`i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
