4�'L .ice <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII • � STATI: OF HAWAII <br />ire oc•N►.A <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF A CADAVER/TRACKING K9 TO THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, Friends of the Missing Child Center -Hawaii is donating one (1) <br />cadaver/tracking K9 to the County of Hawaii Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the cadaver/tracking K9 will be placed with the Hawaii Police <br />Department's Juvenile Aid Section, Area II, to assist in the recovery of missing children; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,, in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts the donation of this cadaver/tracking K9. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br />resolution be sent to Friends of the Missing Child Center -Hawaii, P.O. Box 179469, <br />Honolulu, HI 96817. <br />
