COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 197 19 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF A CARDSCAN SYSTEM TO THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Hawaii <br />Criminal Justice Data Center (HCJDC) is donating a new cardscan system to the County of <br />Hawaii Police Department; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department's current cardscan system is no longer supported; <br />WHEREAS, the new cardscan. system will allow the Police Department to continue <br />scanning manually rolled fingerprint cards into electronic format for processing and <br />searching; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,, in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />
