Jk11osH. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •� '''���� =* STATE OF HAWAII <br /> '.Ng <br /> OFM� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 222 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HAWAII <br /> COUNTY ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL FOR ITS SENIOR FARMERS <br /> MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC) is a <br /> 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce, mitigate, and alleviate poverty and <br /> enable low-income individuals to become self-sufficient; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Office of Aging is to ensure better choices, and <br /> better health programs are available to older adults through Hawai`i County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Farmer's Market Nutritional Program (SFMNP) is to provide <br /> low-income seniors with eligible fresh produce with the goal of improving their health and <br /> nutritional status and promotes education for the seniors on good nutrition and health; and <br /> WHEREAS, SFMNP is requesting financial assistance with expenses associated with <br /> outreach, intake services, and application processing; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Office of Aging to <br /> provide a grant to the Hawai`i Economic Opportunity Council for its Senior Farmer's Market <br /> Nutrition Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
