1Y Os M <br /> \14; ,, <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII • A\'', 'e:Yig; •- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> .., ;.,,--.,-....-: :: <br /> • 7tE•OF•N,,:;, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 245 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO CHILD AND FAMILY <br /> SERVICE TO PURCHASE BUS PASSES FOR RESIDENTS OF THE WEST HAWAII <br /> DOMESTIC ABUSE SHELTER. <br /> WHEREAS, Child and Family Service is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that <br /> provides social and human services and advocacy for children and families in need; and <br /> WHEREAS, Child and Family Service has requested funds to purchase bus passes for <br /> residents of the West Hawai`i Domestic Abuse Shelter; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mass Transit Agency's mission is to create a high-quality, multi-modal <br /> transportation system that provides safe, reliable, convenient, environmentally responsible, and <br /> cost effective mobility choices that meet the needs of our residents and visitors; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Mass Transit <br /> Agency to provide a grant to Child and Family Service to purchase bus passes for residents of <br /> the West Hawai`i Domestic Abuse Shelter. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
