REQUEST: <br /> A resolution, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement between the County of <br /> Hawai'i and the U.S. Geological survey (USGS)for the purposes of continuing the Cooperative Flood- <br /> Monitoring program on the island of Hawaii. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> This agreement with the USGS is an annually budgeted, joint funding agreement where the County of <br /> Hawai'i contributes $46,672 toward the flood-monitoring program for the collection of long-term systematic <br /> data of.annual peak streamflow.
