E OFµ,'dr• <br /> • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 284 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES FOR <br /> THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S COMMUNITY POLICING PROGRAMS. <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i Police Department, Community Policing Unit, is <br /> committed to working cooperatively with the community to enforce laws, preserve peace, and <br /> provide a safe environment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Police Officers accomplish this through community <br /> mobilization, crime prevention efforts, and problem solving (i.e.,Neighborhood Watch, Citizen <br /> Patrol, etc.); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department requests funds to purchase essential equipment and <br /> supplies for its Community Policing programs; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Police Department <br /> to purchase equipment and supplies for its Community Policing programs. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $500 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.201.5203.02 Police Department $500 <br /> Police Adm Div - OCE <br /> 225 Educ-Recr-Scientific Supplies <br /> (Community Policing Programs— <br /> Equipment and Supplies) <br />
