WHEREAS, PATH—Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawai`i is requesting funding <br /> support to assist the Vision Zero Task Force with hiring a consultant firm to gather and analyze <br /> data on vehicle crashes to identify the most dangerous intersections in Hawaii County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Department provides critical program and administrative <br /> support to the Vision Zero Task Force and the Complete Streets program; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Planning <br /> Department to provide a grant to PATH—Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawai`i to assist the <br /> Vision Zero Task Force with hiring a consultant firm to gather and analyze data on vehicle <br /> crashes in Hawaii County. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $5,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.141.5141.02 Planning Department $5,000 <br /> Planning OCE <br /> 115 Misc. Contract Services <br /> (PATH—Peoples Advocacy for Trails <br /> Hawai`i—Vision Zero Task Force) <br /> 2 <br />
