COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ,TE OF M'' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 289 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO REIMBURSE THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS <br /> AND RECREATION FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO THE QUEEN LILI`UOKALANI <br /> FESTIVAL. <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i partners with local businesses, organizations, and <br /> nonprofits to host the Queen Lili`uokalani Festival, which is a free community event held <br /> annually at Lili`uokalani Gardens in Hilo to celebrate the birthday of the last reigning monarch <br /> of Hawai`i; and <br /> WHEREAS, this year, the Queen Lili`uokalani Festival was held on September 7, 2019, <br /> and featured a mass hula performance, a floral cascade of orchid blossoms, entertainment, <br /> demonstrations, children's games, food trucks, taiko drumming, a tea ceremony, and <br /> informational booths; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting a reimbursement of <br /> expenses related to this annual celebration, which includes costs for security, tents, and portable <br /> toilets; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation for the reimbursement of expenses related to the Queen Lili`uokalani <br /> Festival. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $2,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,000 <br /> Culture & Education OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
