.-.4).?"F"'''',i -.... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII 44W STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ..,•,44 <br /> . , ..N�"M.• F . <br /> . 4rE OF HF'�- <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 275 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO GOING HOME <br /> HAWAII TO ASSIST WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PU`UHONUA <br /> WELLNESS CTE PATHWAY NETWORK. <br /> WHEREAS, Going Home Hawai`i is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to <br /> successfully reintegrate justice-involved individuals into the community and workforce through <br /> training, education, and support services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Pu'uhonua Wellness CTE Pathway Network (PWCPN) is an initiative <br /> of the Native Hawaiian Careers and Technical Educational Program (NHCTEP), and has tailored <br /> PWCPN components specifically for Formerly Incarcerated Native Hawaiian Persons; and <br /> WHEREAS,NHCTEP has named Going Home Hawai`i the project coordinator and <br /> awarded a grant, through the Department of Education, to implement this specialized module of <br /> the PWCPN; and <br /> WHEREAS, Going Home Hawai`i requires additional funds to cover costs not included <br /> in the grant, such as site rental, school supplies, and refreshments, to ensure appropriate and <br /> successful delivery of this initiative, which includes Hawai`i Community College's EDvance <br /> programming offered specifically within the Puna District; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is to improve the <br /> criminal justice system by working collaboratively with the community to encourage and <br /> promote crime prevention and intervention initiatives; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Going Home Hawai`i to assist with the <br /> implementation of the Pu'uhonua Wellness CTE Pathway Network. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
