+.v of N <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> 1'• ,tE•OF y <br /> ' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 302 19 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH SPECTRUM (CHARTER <br /> COMMUNICATIONS) <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year <br /> agreement for five (5) years, with Spectrum (Charter Communications); and <br /> WHEREAS, the agreement will allow the County to increase internet <br /> connections at Civil Defense and West Hawaii Civic Center from 100 mbps <br /> (megabytes per second) to one (1) gbps (gigabytes per second); and <br /> WHEREAS, these increases in bandwidth will help to support County <br /> operations to provide essential public services; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year <br /> agreement for the services as indicated above, for the Department <br /> of Information Technology. <br />
