Additional state funds in the amount of$4,000 are being <br /> provided by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division to be <br /> used to fund operations to combat tobacco sales to minors. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawaii County Police's Dept of Health- Tobacco Sting account, <br /> bringing the total appropriation to $16,000. <br /> The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed <br /> on the September 18, 2019 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
