.tvosy4c.,', ',..'. .. 1 COUNTY OF HAWAII 44's,,.0!. ,... /_*- STATE OF HAWAII tOF 10- RESOLUTION NO. 307 19 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO COMMUNITY ENTERPRISES FOR ITS MONTHLY COMMUNITY FORUMS IN WEST HAWAII. WHEREAS, Community Enterprises is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which was created in 2005 to provide monthly forums in West Hawai`i for residents to share important information with the community; and WHEREAS, the goal of Community Enterprises is to increase community participation on issues that are important to the residents, economy, and environment of Hawai`i Island; and WHEREAS, Community Enterprises has requested funds to assist with expenses such as advertisement, promotions, supplies, and refreshments for its monthly community forums in West Hawai`i; and WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development support this type of community outreach that aligns with the goals of the resource center that assists the public and other agencies with data, information, and knowledge that is relevant to Hawai`i Island; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to Community Enterprises for expenses related to conducting its monthly community forums in West Hawai`i. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
