Ntvosy,'' <br /> iii <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> '•rrE'' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 312 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO ORCHIDLAND <br /> NEIGHBORS FOR ITS VIRTUAL RESOURCE HUB. <br /> WHEREAS, Orchidland Neighbors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission <br /> to create a multi-purpose facility to develop community capacity through recreational, <br /> educational, and agricultural opportunities for Orchidland and surrounding communities; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orchidland Neighbors is creating a Virtual Resource Hub that will provide <br /> both emergency and non-emergency services to the community and is collaborating with the <br /> Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to provide radio equipment for volunteers <br /> during emergency operations; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orchidland Neighbors will establish and maintain a web presence to <br /> connect the community with events and programs such as the food basket, a community calendar <br /> of events, government information and announcements, and a virtual farmer's market; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orchidland Neighbors is requesting funds for marketing materials, website <br /> set-up and maintenance, and radio equipment that includes handheld radios, batteries, antennas, <br /> cables, and power supplies; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Civil Defense <br /> Agency to provide a grant to Orchidland Neighbors for its Virtual Resource Hub. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
