JN�Y of......... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 313 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION'S ADAPTIVE SWIMMING PROGRAM IN WEST HAWAII. <br /> WHEREAS, the mission of the Department of Parks and Recreation is to provide a wide <br /> array of services for the public with excellence, integrity, and aloha; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Aquatics Section of the Department of Parks and Recreation is starting <br /> an Adaptive Swimming Program that is tailored for children in West Hawai`i with intellectual <br /> disabilities such as autism, ADHD, and down syndrome; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Adaptive Swimming Program will provide classes that will focus on <br /> water safety, skill enhancement, positive social interaction, and lifesaving skills such as floating, <br /> breath control, and basic swimming motions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested financial assistance <br /> for safety equipment related to the Adaptive Swimming Program in West Hawai`i; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation to assist with expenses related to the Adaptive Swimming Program in West <br /> Hawai`i. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $1,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5513.66 Department of Parks and Recreation $1,000 <br /> Aquatics Pools Equipment <br /> 480 Misc.
