• _ry 1 <br /> ' ' � " ''/ STATEHA AI'I <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII : *: `---�.- � ••- OF HAW <br /> API <br /> NO. 314 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION'S ADAPTIVE SWIMMING PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Aquatics Section develops and <br /> initiates water safety operations and programs, and promotes water safety to the public; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has developed an Adaptive <br /> Swimming Program for children with intellectual disabilities between the ages of five and ten, <br /> where they will learn floating, breath control, kicking and beginning freestyle; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested funds to pay for <br /> training equipment such as floatation devices, safety rails, pool barriers, and a teaching platform <br /> to aid in the teaching of swimming skills; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation for expenses related to its Adaptive Swimming Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $1,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5513.66 Department of Parks and Recreation $1,000 <br /> Aquatics Pools Equip. <br /> 480 Misc.
