Its matching share would be $148,915,000 or 60 percent of the total project <br /> cost. Na Mamo O Kawa has submitted its application before the stated deadline and has <br /> provided the required documentation. <br /> This applicant is proposing to secure and maintain access points, trails and roads to the <br /> property. Execute a freshwater spring preservation plan by out planting native vegetation <br /> along the banks to control erosion, measure and monitor water quality and monitor <br /> aquatic resources. Lastly, develop a wildlife monitoring and management protocol to <br /> identify and protect species like the green sea and hawksbill turtle, monk seals, <br /> Hawaiian Hoary bat and shore birds. <br /> Na Mamo O Kawa continues to steward the subject property through the Hawaii County <br /> Open Space and Natural Resources Maintenance Fund Grant award since 2016 and so <br /> far has complied with the terms of its grant award. <br /> However, I have some concerns over the following budgetary items: <br /> 1. Serving Trays $ 51.96 <br /> 2. Serving Utensils $ 50.00 <br /> 3. Cutlery and Paperware $ 50.00 <br /> In my opinion, the Project Budget needs to be revised to be compliant with the Hawaii <br /> County Charter. <br /> ®`oma Beach, North Kona, Hawaii TMK: (3) 7-3-09:04 <br /> • Applicant Kohanaiki `Ohana is requesting $21,680 toward a project expected to cost <br /> $51,180. Its matching share would be $18,700 or 37 percent of the total project cost. <br /> The applicant states $10,800 will come from other funding sources. Kohana'iki `Ohana <br /> has submitted its application before the stated deadline and has provided the required <br /> documentation. <br /> Kohana'iki `Ghana proposes to work with Project Coordinator, Mason Myrmo, schools, <br /> community groups and volunteers to monitor and maintain Maiapilo (Caperis <br /> Sandwichiana) a rare medicinal plant and Hylaeus, a rare yellow-faced bee. Kohanaiki <br /> Ohana will continue to remove invasive species, out plant native plants and with school <br /> groups to educate and implement work days. Kohanaiki Ohana continues to steward the <br /> subject property through the Hawaii County Open Space and Natural Resources <br /> Maintenance Fund Grant award since 2018 and so far has complied with the terms of its <br /> grant award. <br /> However, I have some concerns over the following budgetary items: <br /> 1.
