COfN14TY OF HAWAI`I �=\�/ *- STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> COUN o •H',.1' <br /> r <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 377 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAWAIIAN <br /> PARADISE PARK NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF <br /> EXPENSES RELATING TO HOSTING THE 2019 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT. <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> entity that promotes community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie with the goal of <br /> creating safer and stronger neighborhoods; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch assisted with the hosting of <br /> Hawai`i County's inaugural National Night Out on October 1, 2019 in Kea'au; and <br /> WHEREAS,National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that <br /> promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch is requesting funds as <br /> reimbursement for expenses related to hosting National Night Out, which included outreach <br /> materials such as publicity banners and giveaway items; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports Neighborhood Watch and <br /> other community-based crime prevention and education initiatives; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch for a <br /> reimbursement of expenses related to hosting National Night Out. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
