OJ�ZV Os Ht, r _n COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 387 19 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO YWCA OF HAWAII ISLAND FOR THE 2019 FAMILY VIOLENCE SUMMIT. WHEREAS, YWCA of Hawai`i Island is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace,justice, freedom and dignity for all; and WHEREAS, YWCA of Hawai`i Island, along with the Family Violence Interagency Committee of East and West Hawai`i and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, will be hosting the 2019 Family Violence Summit on November 15, 2019, in Hilo; and WHEREAS, the objective of this event is to provide an overview of domestic violence in Hawai`i County and unite the community by increasing connections with and support for victims of family violence; and WHEREAS, YWCA of Hawai`i Island is requesting funds to assist with refreshments, lunches, table covers, lei, and papers products for this event; and WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic and family violence prevention and intervention initiatives; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to YWCA of Hawai`i Island to assist with the 2019 Family Violence Summit. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
