.01.os y,' .J f ••w COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I ,tE Of.M�'�_• RESOLUTION NO. 391 19 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KURTISTOWN ASSEMBLY OF GOD FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES INCURRED AT THE PUNA KIDS PARTY 2019. WHEREAS, Kurtistown Assembly of God is a subordinate unit of the General Council of the Assemblies of God which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides spiritual services and outreach events; and WHEREAS, Kurtistown Assembly of God organized a family event at Christian Liberty Academy on October 31, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. which included free food, games, prizes, music, entertainment, and family photos; and WHEREAS, Kurtistown Assembly of God is requesting funds for the reimbursement of expenses for food, prizes, and light towers that illuminated the event; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations and programs that provide drug-free and alcohol-free events for the community; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant as reimbursement of expenses to Kurtistown Assembly of God for the Puna Kids Party 2019. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
