-'�tv os ,' <br /> \:•slii4.„...., <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII (*(A *) STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 392 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO MOUNTAIN VIEW <br /> ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARENT, TEACHER, STUDENT ASSOCIATION FOR <br /> MOUNTAIN VIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S `GHANA DAY EVENT. <br /> WHEREAS, Mountain View Elementary School Parent, Teacher, Student Association <br /> (PTSA) is a subordinate unit of PTA Hawai`i Congress, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization made up of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of Hawai`i's keiki; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 7, 2020, Mountain View Elementary School will be hosting its <br /> annual `Ghana Day, a community-building event where members from various organizations <br /> such as Blue Zones Project Hawai`i, Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy, and Bay Clinic Inc. <br /> grow partnerships with the school staff, students, and families to exchange service information <br /> and do fun activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, events at Mountain View Elementary School, such as `Ghana Day, have <br /> been growing and attracting more families, and the school is in need of additional covered areas <br /> in the case of inclement weather to accommodate the increasing number of attendees; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mountain View Elementary School PTSA is requesting funding assistance <br /> to purchase equipment and materials such as tents, banners, and supplies for the `Ghana Day <br /> event; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports partnerships with other <br /> community organizations that promote a healthy environment for students; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Mountain View Elementary School PTSA for Mountain <br /> View Elementary School's `Ohana Day event. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
