\': <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII " • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ` ' <br /> • <br /> � ` �����:'' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 420 19 <br /> RESOLUTION CREATING TWO (2) NEW TEMPORARY POSITIONS FOR <br /> THE HAWAII COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii was awarded funding from the State <br /> Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism under the DBEDT Social <br /> Trans Grant to assist the Elderly Activities Division by facilitating paratransit <br /> transportation for seniors; and <br /> WHEREAS, the creation of two (2) new, temporary positions are needed to <br /> support the paratransit transportation program for seniors; and <br /> WHEREAS, the two (2) positions indicated above are Community Service <br /> Program Assistant (Temp) and Community Service Worker Ill (Temp); and <br /> WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter states that <br /> the Mayor has the power to "Create positions...for which appropriations have been <br /> made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that one <br /> (1) Community Service Program Assistant (Temp) and one (1) Community Service <br /> Worker III (Temp) position be created in the Hawaii County Department of Parks & <br /> Recreation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED funds are available through the DBEDT Social <br /> Trans Grant to facilitate the program. <br />
