BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The appropriation is for Phase 2 of the Waimea Trails and Greenways Project. Phase 2 is located on Parker <br /> Ranch land. Parker Ranch granted an easement to the County for the trail; however, sections of the <br /> easement may be too steep to practically construct a trail. The purpose of the funding is to stake the existing <br /> easement and adjust the easement as needed. Parker Ranch has consented to work with the County and <br /> community in determining the adjustments.
