This <br /> appointment will be effective Monday, December 2, 2019. <br /> Roy Takemoto has the educational, administrative, and professional experience to serve as <br /> Managing Director. He holds Bachelors' degrees in philosophy and environmental studies, a <br /> master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and a law degree from the William S. Richardson <br /> School of Law. Roy has served as an Executive Assistant in my office since December 2016 and <br /> also served in my previous administration during 2000 —2008, first as Deputy Planning Director and <br /> then as Executive Assistant. Roy Takemoto has also worked in the private sector as a planning <br /> consultant prior to 2000 and after 2008. His resume is attached for your information. <br /> Roy Takemoto will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, ending on December 7, 2020. <br /> Pursuant to Rule 5(6)(g) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii, we respectfully request a waiver of this nomination through committee so that it may be <br /> considered by the full County Council on December 4, 2019.
