No. 603/Bill No. 113 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 3:02 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 113, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 113, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 603 dated <br /> October 31, 2019, amends Ordinance No. 19-73, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County <br /> of Hawaii for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2020. <br /> This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants— State Homeland Security Program account <br /> ($164,500); and appropriates the same to the State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year 2019 <br /> account, bringing the total appropriation to $764,500. Funds would be used to support efforts to <br /> prevent, protect and respond to incidents, threats, and hazards within the context of terrorism. <br /> Finance Director Deanna Sako stated they are fortunate to get additional funding on top of the$600,000 <br /> that they would normally get. These monies will be split between Police, Fire, and Civil Defense.
