Additional federal funds in the amount of$137,715 are being <br /> provided by the State Department of Transportation to be used to fund speed enforcement <br /> operations. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawai`i County Police Speed Enforcement Grant account, bringing the <br /> total appropriation to $287,715. <br /> The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed <br /> on the January 8, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
