.VVOFh... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •: �tr <br /> STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 459 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MULTI- <br /> YEAR HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENT CONTRACT (AGREEMENT) <br /> WITH THE PROPERTY OWNERS OR PROPERTY MANAGERS OF <br /> SELECTED PROJECTS FOR THE SECTION 8 PROJECT-BASED <br /> VOUCHER PROGRAM (PBV PROGRAM) AS OFFERED THROUGH A <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE DATED FEBRUARY 18 AND 19, 2019. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease <br /> or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year <br /> or of more than one fiscal year, be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, under the Project-Based Voucher Program, the Office of Housing and <br /> Community Development (OHCD) will attach a Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment <br /> Contract (Agreement) to existing structures; and <br /> WHEREAS, the OHCD, through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process has <br /> selected proposed projects: Kaiaulu 0 Kapiolani (25 vouchers), Kaloko Heights (25 <br /> vouchers), Papa'aloa Elderly Housing (20 vouchers) and West Kawili Street Senior (50 <br /> vouchers); and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement with <br /> property owners or property managers of selected projects for the Section 8 Project Based <br /> Voucher Program's evaluation process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the OHCD is requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into a <br /> multi-year agreement with property owners or property managers of the selected Project- <br /> Based Voucher projects; now, therefore, <br />
