J"tvosh�w <br /> . ,. <br /> l` <br /> .*„.:,:COUNTY �.'.'-�,' f i* <br /> ; STATE OF HAWAII <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII :_ �_ <br /> *1-0:-..le--- <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 460 20 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $500 TO THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, The Walmart #2321, Kona is donating $500 to the Hawaii Fire <br /> Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to purchase an Ipad Pro to be used for <br /> fire inspections and code research; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that <br /> cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br /> Resolution process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
