No. 644/Bill No. 124 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:31 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 124, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 124, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 644 dated <br /> November 27, 2019, amends Ordinance No. 19-74, as amended, relating to public improvements <br /> and financing thereof for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. <br /> This bill adds the Public Works Paniolo Avenue Rehabilitation project for$5.5 million to the <br /> Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital <br /> Projects Fund—Fund Balance and/or Other Sources. Funds would be used for paving and <br /> rehabilitating Paniolo Avenue in Waik6loa. <br /> Council Member Herbert M. "Tim"Richards, III, explained this bill will assist in moving <br /> forward towards working on the junction between Paniolo Drive and Waik6loa junction. Funds <br /> would be used to get the project done.
