With already 14 land acquisitions totaling 4,428.7835 acres, the County <br /> holds in perpetuity a total of over 6,399.2975 acres for agricultural and conservation use, protection • <br /> of our natural resources, endangered species and wildlife, including buffer zones; and for native tra- <br /> ditions and cultural practices. <br /> SUMMARY OF AUTHORIZED LAND ACQUISITIONS <br /> Through prior resolutions, the County Council has authorized the Finance Director to enter <br /> into land negotiations to,acquire 14 parcels and a Conservation Easement since the establishment <br /> of the Commission.
