The Council recently confirmed Ms. Nakanishi on October 2, 2019 with an expiration term of December 31, 2019. She is now eligible to serve a full 5-year term that would expire on December 31, 2024. According to the report led by your Finance Committee, several committee members offered favorable comments about Ms. Nakanishi after hearing her original nomination. As noted previously, Ms. Nakahishi is not affiliated with any political party. Due to the needs of the Board, I respectfully ask that this nomination be waived through Committee and placed on the full Council agenda of February 5, 2020. 1 further request that Ms. Nakanishi's appearance also be waived as she previously appeared before Council on September 17, 2019.
