Attic ventilation via solar attic fan(s), or ridge ventilation, or gable ventilation." <br /> (24) Subsection R101.1 of the International Energy Conservation Code is amended to read <br /> as follows: <br /> "R101.1 Title. This code shall be known as the [International] Energy Conservation <br /> Code [of NAME OF JURISDICTION], and shall be cited as such. [It is referred to <br /> herein as "this code."] "This code" when used within the International Energy <br /> Conservation Code as incorporated by reference herein, means the Energy <br /> Conservation Code of Hawai`i County." <br /> (25) Subsection 8103.1 of the International Energy Conservation Code is amended to read <br /> as follows: <br /> "R103.1 General. [Construction documents, technical reports and other supporting <br /> data shall be submitted in one or more sets with each application for a permit. The <br /> construction documents and technical reports shall be prepared by a registered design <br /> to be constructed. Where special conditions exist, the code official is authorized to <br /> require necessary construction documents to be prepared by a registered design <br /> professional. <br /> Exception: The code official is authorized to waive the requirements for <br /> they are not necessary to confirm compliance with this code.] <br /> Construction documents and other supporting data shall be submitted to indicate <br /> compliance with this code. The construction documents shall be prepared, designed, <br /> approved, and observed by a duly registered licensed professional as required by <br /> chapter 464, Hawaii Revised Statutes and in accordance with the provisions of <br /> chapter 5, Hawai`i County Code. The licensed professional shall certify via a signed <br /> statement on the plans, that the project complies with this code. <br /> Exception: Any building, electrical, or plumbing work that is not required to be <br /> prepared, designed, approved, or observed by a licensed professional architect or <br /> engineer pursuant to chapter 464, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, shall be certified by <br /> the owner." <br /> 13 <br />
