.tYOsk,,, • COUNTY OF HAWAII •:• = STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 513 20 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO SELF DISCOVERY THROUGH ART FOR ITS "BOUNCING BACK!" PROGRAM. WHEREAS, Self Discovery Through Art is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to normalize lives and restore wellness after adverse life events that alter social and occupational functioning; and WHEREAS, Self Discovery Through Art will be presenting a free, six-week program called"Bouncing BACK!" that focuses on the concepts of recovery, resilience, and recreation for community members suffering from depression, trauma, and chronic pain; and WHEREAS, the "Bouncing BACK!"program uses an"arts as medicine" approach to reduce stress, enrich relationships, improve work performance, and increase life satisfaction; and WHEREAS, Self Discovery Through Art is requesting funds to purchase refreshments and art and marketing supplies for the "Bouncing BACK!" program; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that promote drug- free and alcohol-free programs and activities conducted in a healthy and safe environment; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to Self Discovery Through Art for its "Bouncing BACK!" program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
