COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 530 20 <br />sIN IN U11F.11 ro 4 allurM4160"Ll <br />WHEREAS, May is recognized as Older Americans Month, a time to celebrate and <br />honor the contributions that seniors have made and continue to make in our community and our <br />nation; and <br />WHEREAS, Older Americans Month occurs annually and dates back to 1963 when <br />President John F. Kennedy, through a proclamation, designated May as Senior Citizens Month, <br />which was later renamed Older Americans Month; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of Aging is requesting funds to assist with expenses associated <br />with hosting this year's Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon for honored seniors on <br />May 1, 2020; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District I will be appropriated to the Office of Aging to <br />assist with expenses associated with the annual Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101,5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,000 <br />010.411.5411.02 Office of Aging $2,000 <br />Office of Aging OCE <br />341 Misc.
