REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: March 10, 2020 Re: Comm.No. 790/Res.No. 521-20 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 521-20,reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 521-20, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via by Communication No. 790 <br /> dated February 21, 2020, authorizes the Office of the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawai`i, Board of Land and Natural Resources, pursuant to Hawai`i Revised Statutes 46-7, to accept <br /> funds for the acquisition pf Kapanai`a,North Kohala. <br /> This resolution funds in the amount of$1,452,000 would be used to assist with acquiring properties <br /> identified by Tax Map Key Nos. 5-2-007:004 and 027, totaling approximately 93 acres. <br /> A motion to move Resolution 521-20 to Council with a positive recommendation was made by Council <br /> Member Richards, seconded by Council Member Eoff.
