COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> J • <br /> �TE•OF•M'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 685 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF TOURNIQUETS WITH ACCESSORIES TO THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Spirit of the Blue Foundation is donating 442 Gen-7 C-A-T <br /> Tourniquets with RIGID TQ Cases and cross patch with duty belt attachments to the County <br /> of Hawaii Police Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the tourniquets and accessories, valued at $30,926.74, will be issued to <br /> sworn personnel after completion of Active Law Enforcement Rapid Response <br /> Training/Active Attack Integrated Response; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Ryan T. Smith, Executive Director, Spirit of the Blue Foundation, 12771 <br /> SW Tooze Road, Sherwood, OR 97140. <br />
