JMtvoshtjy,, <br /> 4A\ f *COUNTY OF HAWAII - - STATEF HAWAII O <br /> ' t,••i1ftM• . <br /> EOFM01- <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 687 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF <br /> COLLAPSIBLE WATER JUGS FROM THE STATE OF HAWAII, <br /> HAWAII EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR THE <br /> HAWAII COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Hawaii Emergency Management Agency wishes <br /> to transfer ownership of 2,100 collapsible water jugs, valued at $3,675, to the County of <br /> Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these collapsible water jugs will be distributed to participants enrolled in <br /> the Home Delivery Meals and Coordinated Services programs who are homebound for use <br /> during emergencies and natural disasters; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the <br /> Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section <br /> 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or <br /> personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, <br /> may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of <br /> this transfer of collapsible water jugs; now therefore, <br />
