..-/cet-t7.. . . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII �' /_•- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • ,tE.Of <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 689 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF HAND SANITIZER TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br /> CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY <br /> WHEREAS, Kuleana Rum Works is donating 40 gallons of hand sanitizer to the <br /> County of Hawaii Civil Defense Agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the hand sanitizer, valued at $1,280, will be used in the fight against <br /> COVID-19; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Defense Agency recommends the acceptance of this donation; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Steve Jefferson, Kuleana Rum Works, PO Box 2493, Kamuela, Hawaii <br /> 96743, acknowledging this generous donation. <br />
