Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a multi-year amended and <br />restated lease for 75 years with Papa`aloa Housing, Inc. for the rehabilitation and <br />leasehold rights to the Papa`aloa Elderly Housing Project. Pdpa`aloa Housing, Inc. <br />desires to renovate the aging facility and increase its size from ten (10) one -bedroom <br />units to a new twenty (20) unit building and a community center. Their plans also <br />include the closure of six (6) cesspools on the property. The Papa`aloa Elderly Housing <br />Project will continue to serve as a rental housing facility for senior citizens. <br />The Office of Housing and Community Development requests that this resolution be <br />waived from Finance Committee and be placed on the July 22, 2020 Council agenda in <br />order to expedite this transaction.
