Review of existing compensation plan to include discussion and consideration on <br />proposals for adjustments to future salaries of executives and elected officials <br />beginning July 1, 2019. Discussion may include: <br /> <br />A. Salary Commission’s Plan, as amended, regarding a schedule concerning <br />future salary adjustments (increases, decreases, or no change). The objective <br />of the Plan is to secure the best available information toward considering and <br />deciding on possible future salary adjustments by consulting and inviting the <br />various County departments and board/commission representatives, including <br />input and available information by the Department of Human Resources. <br /> <br />ORAL PRESENTATIONS: By the various Hawaiʻi County Commissions <br />and Board who appoint their respective department head (and deputies) re <br />factors or recommendations the Salary Commission should consider <br />concerning their salaries: <br /> <br />Fire Commission: Presentation by Wayne De Luz, Chair <br />Police Commission: Presentation by Gregory Henkel, Chair <br />Liquor Commission: Presentation by Shelby Nahale-a, Chair <br />Merit Appeals Board: Presentation by Luahiwa Namahoe, Chair <br /> <br />WRITTEN SUBMITTALS: By the various Hawaiʻi County departments and <br />agencies submitting information concerning whether future salary adjustments <br />should be incorporated into the County of Hawaii’s Fiscal Year 2019-2020 <br />budget.
